Amman Mineral

Amman is a world-class Indonesian mining company that operates the country’s second largest copper and gold mine, the Batu Hijau mine. They are agents of transformation, who see opportunity in what others see as an obstacle. It is their mission to support their surrounding communities, care for our natural world and take part in the development of a better Indonesia. This has driven them to constantly innovate and redefine what is considered ‘best’. And in everything they do, they strive to discover new ways to make society better—to make a difference beyond mining.

Founded in 2020 by Gary, Kelly and Sam Bencheghib in Bali, Indonesia, Sungai Watch is now a team of 55 passionate river warriors, working every day to create solutions to stop the flow of plastic pollution from going into the ocean. By designing simple trash barriers and operating a collection, sorting and up-cycling system, they have created a scalable approach to tackling plastic pollution. They are on a mission to install 1,000 barriers by 2023.
